Our company named Truhlařství Chmela-Řípa, Ltd (Joinery) is one of the largest contract joineries in Prague that resides in its own plant and has another own plant in the Vysočina region. The company was founded in 1991 and started its activity in a rented building in Prague 2. In the following years we bought this building from the owner, modernized the technological equipment of the joinery and the overall appearance of the building.
Lacking the natural timber we decided to build a sawmill on our own land near the town of Havlíčkův Brod in 1993. Thanks to the growing demand, we could expanded it by a condensing lumber drying kiln, by joinery production specialized on windows, doors and by a locksmith shop where we execute both classic locksmith production and the production of ironwork elements. The investments were financed by a loan that was paid off in 1997.
The company activity focuses on the joinery production including kitchen, interior, office, store, restaurants, and atypical furniture up to the production of fences, garden pergolas and outdoor garage stands. All orders are executed fully – meaning from the drawing, over the total price calculation to the assembly and our own transport. The products of our company cannot be classified as series production because they are mostly atypical. They make it possible to connect joinery and locksmith products into one delivered unit. We work on the design of the individual furniture parts and complete solutions with an architectural studio and we also take advantage of the well experienced and professional production foreman that participates and defines the final form of the individual furniture parts and set-ups.
During placing the order the customer has an impact on the final price by choosing material (solid wood, veneer, laminate, etc.) by choosing the form (sawn, bent, turned … elements) type of used forging (Hettich, ….) the final finish (pickling, varnish, …) etc….
One of the reasons for our very competitive prices is that the company resides in its own building.
